• Max-logMAP decoder for maximum performance

• Includes UMTS specific interleaver

• Tailor decoder to system requirements with parameters

• Memory Bank Swap mechanism for increased throughput

Results

• Turbo decoder requires 5000 to 7000 LEs

• Required memory size depends on the number of softbits used; e.g for softbits = 5, ESB = 138 (suitable device EP20K600E) On-chip Alpha and Parity memory

• Output Data Rate 2 Mbit/s
