The toolbar provides convenient access to frequently used commands. Click once on a toolbar button to execute a command.
If you position the mouse pointer over a toolbar button, a short description appears next to the button and a longer description appears in the status bar at the bottom of the main window.
This section briefly describes the function of each toolbar button and includes a graphic of each button.
The New button creates a new project. It is equivalent to the File
New
Project command.

The Open button opens an existing project. It is equivalent to the File
Open
Project command.

The Save button saves the document. It is equivalent to the File
Save command.

The Close button closes the project, macro, or waveform. It is equivalent to the File
Close command.

The Run Macro executes the selected macro. It is equivalent to the File
Run Macro command.

The Download Design button downloads the configuration data to your target device or chain of devices. It is equivalent to the Download
Download Design command.

The Download Design and Verify button downloads the design file to your target device and verifies that the design was downloaded correctly. It is equivalent to the Download
Download and Verify command.

The Verify Bitstream button verifies that the design was downloaded correctly. It is equivalent to the Download
Verify Bitstream command.

The Readback and Capture button performs readback on a device and stores the data into a file.

The Synchronous Debug button enables the synchronous debug mode. It is equivalent to the Debug
Synchronous Mode command.

The Asynchronous Debug button enables the asynchronous debug mode. It is equivalent to the Debug
Asynchronous Mode command.

The Waveform Display button displays the readback data graphically. It is equivalent to the View
Waveform Data command.

The Text Display button displays the readback data in text format. It is equivalent to the View
Text Data command.

The Zoom In button allows you to zoom in on your waveform. It is equivalent to the View
Zoom In command.

The Zoom Out button enables you to zoom out from your waveform. It is equivalent to the View
Zoom Out command.

The Zoom to Fit button enables you to zoom to fit the screen. It is equivalent to the View
Zoom to Fit command.

The Zoom Reset button resets the view to default values.

The Help button invokes context-sensitive help.
