add
Adds an object to the design database.
alias
Assigns a name to a command stream.
autoplace
Automatically places one or more components or macros.
autoroute
Automatically routes one or more objects.
button
Assigns a command string to a push button and adds the new push button to the push button panel.
clear
Deselects all items currently selected.
copy
Copies the logical contents of one programmable component or macro into another.
delay
Runs the delay calculator on selected paths and nets in a path.
delete
Removes selected objects from your design.
drc
Runs the DRC (Design Rule Check), which performs a series of tests to validate nets or components.
echo
Writes a message to the history area.
editblock
Allows you to view the logic in a programmable block. You can edit the logic if you are in Read/Write mode.
end
Ends a script recording session. “End block” ends an LBE session.
exec
Allows you to execute a system command string by entering the commands in the EPIC window.
find
Finds a specific object (net, component, site, pin, or macro).
getattr
Displays specified attributes and constraints for a specified object, for the find command, and global attributes and constraints.
help
Displays the online help tool.
hilite
Highlights a specified or selected object.
load
Loads a design or macro into the EPIC window.
null
An editor command that does nothing.
pan
Pans the editing area in a specified direction by a specified amount.
pause
Pauses the editor for a specified number of seconds.
pick
Allows you to select an object in the main EPIC window by location.
place
Places a selected component or macro at a selected site.
playback
Plays back the commands in a script file.
post
Posts a dialog box of the designated type.
quit!
Closes out the EPIC editor without saving changes to the design file.
record
Records commands into a script file. Optionally, creates a script file that, when played back, replicates the current design or macro. Also writes routing commands into the script file to generate the routes in a design.
refresh
Redraws the EPIC window and writes the most recent commands into the command log file.
route
Routes a series of resources you have selected.
select
Selects an object using keyboard input only.
setattr
Sets specified attributes and constraints for a specified object.
trace
Displays a timing report for selected constraints in the history area. Also constructs an internal table of timing information for the selected constraints.
swap
Changes the placement of a selected component or macro with that of another selected component, macro, or site. Also swaps two pins.
unalias
Removes a defined command alias.
unbind
Separates macro components and nets from the macro and deletes the macro instance from the database.
unbutton
Removes an existing push button.
undo
Cancels the last command, the last change, or back to the specified command number.
unhilite
Removes the highlight from selected or specified objects.
unload
Saves your design in the EPIC window to an external file.
unplace
Unplaces one or more selected components or macros.
unpost
Closes all dialog boxes (except the EPIC List dialog box and the Layer Visibility dialog box) or a dialog box of the designated type.
unroute
Unroutes the selected object(s).
zoom
Zooms the editing area in or out.
