Optimization and Map Options

• The GUI includes these options:

• Trim Unconnected Logic

  • Trims logic from the design

• Replicate Logic to Allow

  • Reduces levels of logic to minimize delay
  • Increases utilization

• Generate 5input Functions

  • Reduces block levels but increases area

• CLB Packing Strategy

  • Informs Map of how to pack COMPS with logic

• Map optimizes the design before it is partitioned into LUTs,

Flip-Flops, etc.
